The Image Quality section seems to tell me that at f/2.8 the EF 24-70 2.8 mark ii is generally performing better. Both have been helpfully tested on the R. At 24, 35, 50 and 70mm the centre seems better and mid-frame seem better or the same with the older lens. Corners seem to have been generally improved, mind you.

Excellent lens. Tried the RF 50mm 1.2 and the versatility of the zoom and IS on the RF 24-70mm greatly outweighed the benefits of 1.2 for me. Sharp photos, quick and consistent autofocus, and durability build quality.
