Audi e-tron / Q8 e-tron - charging system malfunction - Anyone seen this? My original Juicebox 40 failed a while back. I was able to get the new 48A as a replacement and it’s been working like a champ until today. When I plug in now, I get a charging system malfunction (see pics). I tried the factory charger at 120v

Yes, I noticed the same - in a Q5 loaner with wireless charger it charged much more. I assumed it was from the wireless carplay causing high power usage. A test would be to disable carplay and try charging. A top tip for Audi designers would be to route a small vent into this area to keep the phone cool - could D Lieb. Beware, when the charging cord software update is done as required on the 2020 e-tron it will require a 50 amp circuit breaker to charge at 100% power. In order to keep the cord from overheating and blowing the circuit breaker they had to lower the charging output to only 50% taking twice as long to charge it.
