4,376. 2 Jul 2018. #9. @KaraokeMidget once you pop the bonnet. If the secondary lever is not working. you should be able to lift the bonnet up abit enough to get a long thin screwdriver in and push the secondary catch on the bonnet release mechanism over to open the bonnet fully. Cheers.
Drilled hole in plastic cover (see pic) to mount switch, soldered wire to switch, soldered other end of cable and flattened out the wires so they formed a sort of tab, remove connector off bonnet catch mech and plug in cable ends. Replace plastic cover - and bingo - close bonnet and message gone. All in all saved £65.
