I have a 2008 fiesta and recently when driving the boot open warning and associated tone will come on. It's really annoying and intermittent. Last year my boyfriend was driving it and it came up engine service now and went into limp mode. Still had some power but won’t allow to Rev over 2.5/3k. Only happens when driving at higher speeds. 70-80mph. We turned the car off and didn’t come back on until a couple of months after.

hi ive a ford galaxy 1998 r reg 1.9tdi ive tried opening the bonnet with the cabel but it wont open the wire is realy tight,ive tried banging on middle of bonnet at same time but no joy. … read more i wanted to check my oil today and went to the front of my ford kuga. i was able to push the two little rubber sides on my key chain and pop off the ford emblem and get my key. pushed open the front ford emblem. popped in the key and using my key thingy, turned the key left 90 degrees until the lock went click.
4,376. 2 Jul 2018. #9. @KaraokeMidget once you pop the bonnet. If the secondary lever is not working. you should be able to lift the bonnet up abit enough to get a long thin screwdriver in and push the secondary catch on the bonnet release mechanism over to open the bonnet fully. Cheers.
Drilled hole in plastic cover (see pic) to mount switch, soldered wire to switch, soldered other end of cable and flattened out the wires so they formed a sort of tab, remove connector off bonnet catch mech and plug in cable ends. Replace plastic cover - and bingo - close bonnet and message gone. All in all saved £65.
DPF Issue (*Warning: Long read) Long read but wanted to give a little context to my current situation. So last month while I was on my way to the Isle of Wight for a weekend away with my wife and kids, I get the dreaded "Service Engine Now" and Engine management light comes on soon after. Soon the car goes into limp mode.
